Azikazin Magic World 의 첫 번째 정규 앨범 《Memory Overdrive》 발매 소식

Azikazin Magic World 1st LP · 《Memory Overdrive》
13 tracks · 35m 51s

01. Dorephin Shopping Center (01:53)

Moogia
It’s a shopping center that feels somewhat excited and fluttering. Plenty of cute sincerities are displayed on the shelves.
Lionclad
I made this thinking of the shopping center in Dorephin Village, children heading out to the city, Jujubee, and memories containing small everyday flutters.

02. Shining Portal (02:54)

Moogia
A song depicting the process of memories gradually fading away like digital decay when suddenly recalled. If you look up at the sky with this song, you might remember forgotten memories…
Lionclad
I personally produced delicate-sounding samples and cut and pasted them one by one with a sampler. By intentionally emphasizing the cut feel of the sound, I tried to create a sense of fragmented memories scattered about.

03. Woorinadea (02:51)

Moogia
A track where you can intuitively feel the ‘Overdrive’ of the album. The repeated “Where are we” makes even the emerging anxieties enjoyable.
Lionclad
I made it because the sonic pronunciation of “Where are we” was so attractive. I tried to capture the imagery of wandering as if wondering where we are.

04. NEW ARCADIA (02:45)

Moogia
I produced this while thinking of someone looking for an excuse to run away in fear. Quite differently from the atmosphere of the melody and lyrics, it’s a song that captures the act of creating one’s own artificial utopia as a place of escape in a positive way.
Lionclad
Music made by having fun cutting and mixing UKG drums and vintage samples. I added plenty of Moogia’s sped-up voice and my favorite chime sounds.

05. You (02:41)

Moogia
A song depicting lovers in a tragic moment, regretting even past happiness due to a massive downfall. However, the core of the song is the future will to endure even in such moments.
Lionclad
A song where the charm lies in the JD-08’s grit-digging synthesizer arpeggios over a standard Liquid DnB. I made it to be easy to listen to while moving somewhere at night.

06. FATAL FANTASY (03:04)

Moogia
Since I was young, I’ve had clear goals, but ironically, I like music that expresses wandering. That’s why this was the first track produced for 《Memory Overdrive》, and thanks to this song, 《Memory Overdrive》 was able to avoid getting lost.
Lionclad
I joined very small pieces of pitiful piano samples with extremely cut release, which I named ‘Clipped wing piano’. I made it imagining fragments of light on a day when the sunlight is dazzling, along with the texture of sound coming through headphones while riding a bicycle.

07. 3CD, SWING TREE (02:36)

Moogia
The ending theme for the 2025 PlayX4 exhibit 「Azikazin Play World」. Although it creates a gloomy atmosphere with liminal spaces and missions full of questions, I re-interpreted the process in the game so it could be felt through music alone, ending with a resolution.
Lionclad
A song that will feel special if you played the game at the Azikazin offline venue. It tells the story of the Tra→Kids! children finally being liberated from a confined mental world via the ‘Swing Tree’.

08. delete (00:28)

Moogia
Jujubee exerts powerful force momentarily by consuming ‘memories’ with Tra→Kids! in order to confront the unknown entities, Hole and Seiren.
Lionclad
I thought Jujubee’s ‘memory slot’ would sound like the sound of chimes swaying delicately in the wind.

09. END! (04:04)

Moogia
A song that lists particularly vain endings repeatedly, but eventually expresses the joy that bursts out brilliantly through mixed emotions.
Lionclad
I wanted to try something new. I wanted to create a story where we can have fun with characters using rhythms inspired by DnB and Jersey Club, and the voices of Tra→Kids! intermittently breaking through, inspired by Jungle.

10. Soyongdori (03:04)

Moogia
A song depicting various scenes that are desperate yet inevitably clumsy. The piano sound in the drop part and the cave-like reverb on the voice feel like a hand warmer in winter.
Lionclad
I expressed the feeling of running at full speed because one is overwhelmed by a heart full of pure and fresh feelings. In the drop, I interpreted that bursting heart in a Breakcore style.

11. Wisung (03:52)

Moogia
Like the sea and sky encountered in a precarious moment, I expressed a precious moment with a precious person who holds on to you when you try to run away.
Lionclad
Recalling the image of a satellite that ‘cannot even run away alone’, I made it while imagining a cold star floating alone and a star with warm energy approaching.

12. Latesleep (02:30)

Moogia
A record of the moment when sunlight streams in, waking one from a forced oversleep the morning after parting with a beloved dog.
Lionclad
I made this by directly cutting string samples in the MPC, which were created by freely recording and layering polyrhythms on the RC-600. I added point with Amen break samples. Moogia’s voice in the latter part was inspired by the Japan Breakcore style.

13. S.a.v.e.d.a.t.a. (03:09)

Moogia
A song of support that talks about being able to start all over again, just like loading a save file for a clear. It’s also fun to go back to track 1 after hearing this song.

Lionclad
I wanted to create music that feels like a flying arcade game with an emphasis on battle. Since metaphors in reality found within unrealistic spaces are always interesting, I wanted to evoke that feeling.
