Hey there!

We took off on a song camp to celebrate Lionclad’s “Messy Samples” sample pack release, which you can find on Roland Cloud Manager. We found ourselves in a bright and cozy space, where we captured the whole process of crafting a song using nothing but those “Messy Samples.” We put together a video to show you what went down.

Lionclad: “For the “Messy Samples,” I played around with Roland SE-02, DSI Tempest, Moog SubHarmonicon and DFAM, along with the Roland AIRA Compact series. I added some spice with the OTO Boum analog warming processor, Kaoss pad quad, EPS 16 plus, and SP404MK2 for those sweet effects. The SE-02 took the lead in shaping those bass drum kicks, and I mixed in some DSI Tempest to give it that extra punch. My aim was to create drum sounds that were messy in a good way, giving you a bunch of different vibes in a single shot depending on how you chop up those drum samples.”
